Introduction

Tagg is an app that lets content-creators earn crypto for being engaging. Our platform uses web3 elements (tokens) to reward content-creators for building personalized profiles, curating links, and posting content. Tagg creators earn for the engagement they get on these profiles, links shared, and content posted.
Tagg was designed to answer one main question: How can content-creators be rewarded proportionally for the entertainment and engagement they bring to platforms? With 200 million internet users proclaiming themselves as creators, the creator economy is one of the fastest growing modern economies. Yet it has a massively underserved majority with only a super tiny % of creators being able to monetize & platforms keeping a huge part of revenue (For example: only 0.03% of YouTube creators make 50K or over through the platforms creator partner program). This has created space for disruption and Tagg is built to take advantage of this opportunity with our mission of using crypto to re-invent the content-creator economy.

The problems with the creator economy are obvious ones and many stakeholders have stepped forward to address it. A plethora of startups have erupted to build tools, big tech companies have adopted funds, and crypto-companies have launched social tokens.
The one thing most of these existing solutions have in common, is that they approach getting creators value by harnessing the spending power of their audiences. This approach has several holes and therefore results in the current lack of earnings distribution within the creator economy.
Tagg's earn-for-being engaging approach harnesses both the creator's spending power and their audience's attention. The goal of this is to align incentives by drastically increasing the amount of value going directly to creators, democratizing earnings within the economy, and eliminating the barriers to earning that exist in the present economy.
This earn-for-being engaging approach is enabled with the use of our platform and our token (currently rolling out on Solana).
